Surplus Notice

September 13, 2018

To Whom It May Concern:

The Skykomish School District #404 is giving notice according to RCW 28A.335.180, of property declared surplus/obsolete by the Board of Directors.

The surplus property will be available for purchase by public schools, private schools and general public in the state of Washington. Public and private schools have the opportunity to purchase items on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

A public sale will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The sale will take place at the Skykomish School District #404, 105 North 6th Street, Skykomish, WA 98288. Items are sold “AS IS” and all sales are final. Purchasers are responsible to remove purchased items immediately. Sales Tax will not apply. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act of 1987 provides support for homeless children and youth to continue their education without interruption or barriers. If your family is homeless, or if you are in a temporary living situation due to economic circumstances, your preschool-aged and school-aged children have certain rights or protections under federal law.

Who Qualifies?
A child or youth is considered homeless and qualifies for services when he or she lacks a nighttime residence that is fixed, regular, or adequate.
